Where There is Innovation, There Are Jobs

The online space is a rapidly evolving marketplace. From social media sites and apps to virtual reality, there is a ton of job opportunity out there if you know how to look for it. In particular, this space is great for tech savvy freelancers. As businesses try to stay on top of the changes that are occurring online, freelancers can pick up the pieces and create a nice little career doing so.

Room To Grow

If you think the freelance space is getting a little crowded, fear not, there are plenty of new jobs that are popping up all the time that practically didn’t exist a year ago. By picking up on those new areas and creating a niche for yourself, you can find yourself in serious demand for your skills. Here are a few jobs that are perfect for Freelancers.

1. App Developer

Apps are still hot hot hot, if you have the skills to create an app, there are jobs out there for you!

2. Social Media Manager

Social media is running away and businesses are struggling to stay on top of updating their LinkedIn pages, Instagram profiles and Tweeting enough. There are plenty of opportunities out there and all of it can be done virtually. You can even become more niche by focusing on one area and becoming a real expert with Instagram or LinkedIn.

3. Virtual Assistant

Hiring a virtual assistant makes a lot of sense in this day and age. With so much work being done exclusively online, a virtual assistant can be easier to employ.

4. Content Writer

Content is still king. SEO, blogs and social media marketing require a lot of writing. Sites like Contena offer lots of writing gigs.

5. SEO Specialist

Understanding how SEO works is a great skill to have right now. Many business owners know it’s important but they don’t have the time to teach themselves or staff. Small to medium business in particular, like dentists and other medical professionals don’t have the ability to invest in a “marketing” employee so hiring a freelancer for this makes a lot of sense.

6. YouTube Specialist

There is a lot of opportunity with You Tube right now. As a free channel space that can cross borders, the popularity only continues to rise. For those that can figure out how to make a successful YouTube channel you will not have any problems finding clients.

7. Content Editor

With all the content that needs to get out there, someone needs to read it over. Who said you can’t do anything with that English degree?

8. Blogger

Again, a little more niche than content writing which can also include social media posts, blogging is very in demand for SEO. Every business wants a blog.

9.Graphic Designer

The online space is visual. From social media posts to ads, online brands need graphic designs.

10. Email Marketing

Running a successful email marketing campaign is really important for most businesses. Hiring someone that excels in this and can do it virtually is a good investment.
